Presentation Submission

Conference participants: If you are using PowerPoint or PDF slides for your presentation, please upload them to our FTP system so that we can make the transition between presenters as quick and seamless as possible. For safety, also bring a CD with your presentation as well as transparencies (overheads) in case all else fails.

PLEASE label your presentation as LastName_FirstName.ppt if using PowerPoint or LastName_FirstName.pdf if using a PDF file, replacing LastName and FirstName with your last and first name (i.e., Smith_John.ppt). This will greatly help us organize the presentations as they come in.

To upload to our FTP system:

First download an FTP client if you do not have one:

Mac OS X: Transmit 2.3 X
Mac OS X: Transmit 1.7 Classic
Windows: WS_FTP Lite
UNIX: use the built-in command line version - a good primer can be found here.

Connect to the server:

The Mac/Windows clients will have a button or menu item that allows you to connect to a server. For the UNIX client, follow the instructions in the primer above to connect.

Use the following server information:

Server: ciei.colorado.edu
UserID: seap03ftp
Password: powerpnt4

Upload the file:

Mac/Windows client will have a "Put" or "Upload" button. Select your file. UNIX users use the "put" command. Select your PowerPoint/PDF file and upload it to the system.

Thanks!
